Auto Glass University Changes Hands as Founders Pass Program to Spartan Glass Consultants

Auto Glass University (AGU), a technician training program with roots stretching back to 2008, has transferred ownership from its founders to a group of four industry veterans. The principals of Spartan Glass Consultants acquired AGU's assets effective July 1, 2026.

The program was founded by Bob Beranek and his wife Ann Schuelke, who built AGU over more than 15 years into a recognized resource for windshield installation technique, adhesive chemistry, and professional practice in the auto glass trade. Beranek confirmed the transition in a LinkedIn post and indicated that the new ownership team would continue the program's educational mission under the Spartan Glass Consultants umbrella.

The four industry veterans who acquired AGU are members of the Spartan Glass Consultants group. The transition represents a generational shift in the leadership of one of the glass trade's established training institutions, moving from founder-operated management to a team of working industry practitioners.

Technician training has gained elevated importance in the auto glass sector as vehicle complexity has increased. Windshields on modern vehicles with front-facing cameras, rain sensors, heads-up displays, and acoustic interlayers require more nuanced installation technique than earlier-generation glass.
