Corrections Policy
Our commitment to accuracy and transparency when errors occur.
At Auto Glass Shop News, we strive for complete factual accuracy in our summaries of industry developments, legislative actions, and safety recalls. However, errors are an inevitable part of publishing. When they occur, our policy is to correct them quickly, clearly, and transparently.
How We Correct Errors
When a factual error is identified in a published article, we take the following steps:
- The text of the article is updated to reflect the accurate information.
- An Editorial Note is appended to the bottom of the article.
- The note clearly states the date of the correction, what information was changed, and why it was incorrect.
We do not "stealth edit" articles to hide mistakes. Grammatical fixes or typo corrections that do not alter the factual meaning of a story may be made without an appended note, but any change to dates, statistics, names, or policy interpretations requires a formal correction notice.
Reporting a News Correction
If you spot a factual error in our reporting, please contact us through our newsroom inbox. Include the URL of the article, a description of the error, and a link to a verifiable source demonstrating the correct information.
Directory Listing Updates
Our Shop Directory features verified advertisers serving the auto glass replacement industry. Each advertiser has a business profile and customer reviews. We process corrections to business names, addresses, hours, services, profile details, and review information.
To request a listing correction or removal, please submit a directory support request with the listing URL, the requested update, and supporting information.
