Editorial Policy
Our standards for sourcing, attribution, and independent reporting.
Independent Research and Verification
Auto Glass Shop News reports independently for auto glass professionals. We research developments using reliable records and reporting, then verify material claims before publication.
Our editorial review includes:
- Confirming the core event and material claims against reliable records.
- Checking names, dates, statistics, technical details, and affected parties.
- Conducting human editorial review before publication.
- Publishing original coverage rather than copying or closely paraphrasing another organization.
Attribution and Allegations
We identify institutions, records, and other reporting when they are material to a story. Institutional attribution does not make an outside organization responsible for our editorial decisions. When a claim is an allegation rather than an established fact, we attribute and describe it accordingly.
Archives and Original Coverage
Our five-year archive is a retrospective research project. The archive week and event date shown on those articles identify when the underlying industry development occurred; they do not claim that Auto Glass Shop News reported the story at that time. Each retrospective also carries the truthful date it was first published by this site.
External material is not copied or automatically republished as an Auto Glass Shop News article.
Advertising Separation
Our editorial decisions are made independently of advertising or lead-generation revenue. We do not accept payment in exchange for publishing news stories, policy updates, or product coverage. While our site features a monetized dispatch directory, the editorial team does not alter news coverage to favor specific directory participants or dispatch networks.
Corrections
Transparency requires admitting when we get it wrong. If a factual error is published, we correct it promptly and append a clear note to the article indicating what was changed and when.
For more information on how we handle errors, please review our Corrections Policy.
