AGSC to Offer Four Certification Pathways at Auto Glass Week™ 2026 — Replacement, Repair, Calibration, Customer Service

The Auto Glass Safety Council announced the training schedule for its four certifications at the 2026 industry conference: Replacement Technician, Repair Technician, Glass Calibration Specialist and Customer Service Representative — all available in San Antonio.

One of the year's most significant workforce-development announcements came from the Auto Glass Safety Council. The AGSC confirmed its full training and certification lineup for Auto Glass Week™ 2026 on August 3, with four distinct credentials available at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio.

The four AGSC certifications available at the 2026 event were: the Replacement Technician Certification, which tests knowledge and skills for performing windshield replacements in compliance with AGRSS standards; the Repair Technician Certification, which validates the ability to identify repairable damage and perform repairs using ROLAGS™ 2-compliant methods; the Glass Calibration Specialist Certification, which tests advanced competency in ADAS calibration procedures and verifying that safety systems function correctly after glass replacement; and the Customer Service Representative Certification, which recognizes professionals who can effectively support customers, coordinate services and ensure accurate documentation.

AGSC president Jacques Navant — who had championed the Glass Calibration Specialist and CSR certifications since their 2025 debut — called having all four credentials available simultaneously at a single event a milestone for the organization. Shop owners could theoretically send multiple staff members to San Antonio and credential their entire team in a single week.

Training sessions were free for registered AGW attendees; certification exams were also included at no additional charge. The Replacement Technician Boot Camp was scheduled for early morning on August 28, while the Glass Calibration Specialist training and testing occupied a separate session — all designed to minimize scheduling conflicts for attendees pursuing multiple credentials.

For shops that had not yet credentialed any of their technicians, the 2026 AGW presented a compelling cost argument: four certifications, training included, for the price of a single conference registration. Shops that sent two or three technicians could simultaneously develop the bench depth needed to handle complex ADAS jobs, manage the replacement workflow efficiently and provide the kind of documented, professional customer communication that was increasingly becoming a regulatory requirement in several states.
