The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show and the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) drew more than 100,000 attendees to Las Vegas from November 4–7, 2025. For the auto glass and ADAS calibration community, the events offered a concentrated view of the tools, products, and partnerships that would shape the industry in 2026 and beyond.

AirPro Diagnostics—which had commissioned the University of North Florida whitepaper on recalibration technician shortages earlier in 2025—exhibited at both SEMA and AAPEX for the seventh consecutive year. AirPro field operations manager Josh Cascanet explained that AAPEX was especially relevant to the aftermarket alignment and calibration community, while SEMA's audience spanned a broader range of automotive professionals. AirPro's Auggie remote assistance tool was highlighted as a resource for shops performing complex ADAS work on vehicles outside their everyday expertise.

Autel also had a presence at both shows. At AAPEX, the company demonstrated its IA700 Modular ADAS Calibration System—a platform designed to handle a wide range of vehicle makes and calibration configurations in a modular, scalable format. At SEMA, Autel showcased the same system inside a dedicated ADAS van, illustrating the mobile calibration use case that Belron had identified as a growth priority in its investor presentations.

Equalizer Auto Glass Tools used SEMA to introduce its new Scorpion setting tool—designed primarily for roof glass but usable on windshields and backglass as well. Global education director Gilbert Gutierrez noted its particular utility for RV glass, a growing niche as the recreational vehicle market continued to produce larger and more complex glazing challenges.

Mygrant Glass introduced its Mygrant Classics line at AAPEX, focused on classic, rare, and exotic vehicle glass. With 90 warehouses, Mygrant argued it had the inventory depth to serve both specialist classic-car shops and conventional auto glass shops whose customers occasionally brought in older vehicles with hard-to-source glass.

SEMA and AAPEX together provided one of the year's best concentrated views into where auto glass tool and product innovation was heading. Shops that send representatives to these shows gain advance notice of products that will reach the broader market in subsequent months.

Key Takeaways

  • SEMA/AAPEX 2025 featured AirPro Diagnostics, Autel IA700, Equalizer's Scorpion tool, and Mygrant Classics—providing advance notice of tools and products reaching the market in 2026.
  • Autel's ADAS van demonstration at SEMA illustrated the mobile calibration use case; shops evaluating mobile capability should review the IA700 Modular system.
  • SEMA and AAPEX trade coverage is a cost-effective way for shops that cannot attend in person to stay current on product innovation in their most important tool and supply categories.
