AirPro Diagnostics and Revv Partner to Speed ADAS Calibration Research for Glass and Collision Shops

A November 2024 partnership between AirPro Diagnostics and Revv brought new automation capabilities to ADAS calibration research, a development with particular relevance for glass shops that have expanded their services beyond windshield replacement into full ADAS calibration for multiple repair types. Company representatives and an AGSC officer addressed its potential impact when the partnership was announced November 5.

AirPro Diagnostics, based in Jacksonville, Florida, provides remote diagnostic and calibration services to automotive shops. Revv, based in New York City, operates an automated platform that researches ADAS calibration requirements across vehicle makes and models. The partnership deploys a customized version of Revv's platform for AirPro customers, enabling near-real-time identification of which ADAS systems on a specific vehicle require recalibration after a repair.

AirPro's president and COO Josh McFarlin said the partnership is most relevant to glass installers who have expanded their business to offer calibration services for other repair types—not just post-windshield-replacement calibrations, but post-collision calibrations and other ADAS restoration work. For those shops, knowing quickly which specific systems need attention after a given repair type reduces the time spent manually researching OEM specifications.

Peter Brown, president of Tiny & Sons Glass Co. in Pembroke, Massachusetts, and AGSC vice president, said partnerships like this one advance the industry by strengthening the relationship between glass shops and collision repair centers. Brown observed that shops increasingly see value in offering calibration services beyond their own glass work, positioning themselves as calibration resources for collision shops in their markets.

The AirPro-Revv collaboration fits within a broader pattern of technology partnerships aiming to reduce the friction in ADAS calibration workflows—a friction that currently stems from the fragmented nature of OEM calibration documentation across hundreds of vehicle makes, models, and sensor configurations.

For glass shops evaluating whether to expand into calibration services for other repair types, the existence of automated research tools that identify calibration requirements reduces one of the key operational barriers: the time cost of manual OEM specification research for each unique vehicle presented for calibration.
